escort diary® of Elena De Armas: When a Delay Becomes an Experience
Yesterday I received a message:
“My flight has been delayed. Would it be possible to see you? I have to be back at the airport by 8:30pm — do you have time before then?”
And just like that… a delay turned into an experience.
We met at the club lounge of the Sofitel Darling Harbour, sipping delicious cocktails with the most breathtaking views over Sydney’s skyline The city glowing beneath us, the harbour shimmering, that quiet luxury that makes everything feel slightly more cinematic.
I love taking time to truly know the person in front of me. To let connection unfold naturally. To allow tension to build slowly instead of rushing straight to the obvious.
At one point the waiters were determined to get us tipsy, then we decided to continue the evening upstairs.
What happened next deserves to be told… but perhaps not by me.
Some experiences are better described from the other side.
So I asked him to share his perspective — and I’m hoping soon we’ll be able to read how a simple flight delay became something far more memorable.
And you, reading this…
What are you waiting for?
