I met Maeve Muir during her recent visit to the national capital. While I rarely write references, Maeve has since asked me very nicely if I would make an exception. And as she was such delightful company, I couldn't say no.

As she is a busy professional in her other life and handles all of her own administration (and prefers emails over text messages), don't expect Maeve to drop everything and always respond immediately if you are making an enquiry. I would recommend doing so several days in advance. However, trust me, it is worth making that extra effort, particularly if - like me - you are someone who prefers longer bookings or ones which include a social component where you can break the ice and get to know something about each other.

The camera loves Maeve: you can tell that from her photos. She is equally if not more attractive physically in person (she's truly statuesque). What she says about her personality is also accurate: she's a delightful conversationalist and our time at the restaurant seemed positively to fly by.

I won't go into any detail about what passed between us once we returned to our hotel room. However, it is very true that, as Maeve says herself, "you can expect to be met with desire, non-judgement, respect and playfulness when you're in my company. Here is a chance to dance with all your fantasies, an escape full of play and carnality, discovering new pleasures. I embrace and welcome it all in the bedroom - leaning into new desires, exploration of shadows, clunkiness, light-heartedness, experimentation".

So let me just say that I left with a broad smile on my face and feeling very much rejuvenated...
