Those final few days day leading up to leaving the city you've known most of your life. I feel like I'm prowling, preparing to see a mistress. Today, walking through the streets of Sydney in that aphrodiasiac balm of dusk on a Friday; lovers out at tables, women in sun-dresses, I am elsewhere. I am already fantasising about another; her contours, her curves, finger tracing the edge of my mouth, thinking of the encounters she will bring. Her name is Singapore.

I have always thought of cities like women you have loved. Sydney, Melbourne, Paris. I keep memories of all the places I've been to, like old lovers I've tasted, tucked in that special reservoir. Singapore has always excited me, intrigued me from a far, her exotic flavours, her clean streets.

This is my first tour out of the country and visit to this country. I'm excited to meet this new woman. I find myself wondering, how will she love? Hard, and firm or soft, sweet, and sensuous? What aroma will she impart on me? What visions?

The exchange with those you meet in a new city is super charged, intense and unique. I'm excited share this excitement with you too.
