A movie date
A movie date never gets old. The allure of the smell of popcorn, the occasional interlace of lovers’ fingers, the flirty rubbing of arms, the excitement leading to and banter afterwards, the lost-in-the-laneway mindless strolls, the stargazing of summer evening… the list goes on. What’s not to love about a movie date? Summer evenings are made just for that. No need to rush back to the warmth wrapped in heavy coats away from the elements, we can literally get lost in time.
I’m a fan of Woody Allen’s movies. His latest work Coup De Chance is his grand, 50th title. I can’t say I have watched even half of his movies, but allow me to still claim to be a fan here ;-). I remembered falling in love with Match Point and thought at the time this was the most sensual movie I had ever seen. I dig the settings (usually set in Paris or his home city New York), the costumes (apparently quite muddy in terms of colour according to critics), the unpredictability in moods, the neuroticism, and the background of carefully curated lovely jazz music. Such old school charm.
If you are on the same page or would like to explore a genre you haven’t yet, let’s make a movie date? This girl would love to be taken to Coup De Chance, then a pizza and beer maybe?
Naturally yours,
