Since 1994, with the support of the community, NBCF has invested $183 million in Australia into 572 world-class research projects. The five-year survival rate in that time has increased from 76% to 91%. The number of women being diagnosed in their lifetime has increased from 1 in 8 to 1 in 7.

Breast cancer is still the most diagnosed cancer in Australia however and its incidence is increasing. Almost 20,000 will be diagnosed this year - 55 Australians every day of 2021. 8 Australians die from breast cancer each day.
