Some years ago, I wrote an article called 'Am I Privileged?'
At the time, it was my reflection on a rather unconventional life, with beautiful hotels, international travel, wonderful dinners and the privilege of meeting fascinating people along the way.
Recently, I read it again.
So much has changed since then, and yet surprisingly, so much of what I wrote still feels true.
These days, I think privilege is less about where you stay or the champagne you drink, and much more about having choices, enjoying your independence and being invited to share a little piece of someone else's world.
And after all these years as an international companion, I still feel genuinely flattered when someone chooses to invest in the time we share.
