escort diary® of Paz Bizarre: NeuroKink Academy, Touring & Taking It Slow
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these diary updates, so here’s what’s happening behind the scenes!
A lot of you have been asking about NeuroKink Academy, Cohort 2. The short answer: it’s still happening. The slightly longer answer: life has been… a lot.
My child has needed my full attention recently. I won’t go into the intimate details, their privacy is important, but when I say I’m a single parent, I mean 100% solo. No co-parent, no one to hand things over to for a breather. Every appointment, every decision, every challenge is mine to handle. While I wouldn’t have it any other way, it does mean I have to be very deliberate about where my energy goes in this season.
NeuroKink Academy has always been an additional layer to my main work, not the centre of it. I adore teaching & sharing the depth of what I do, but the reality is that right now, touring & sessions are my primary focus. Both in-person & distance domination. Those are the things that keep my family stable.
Add to that a hiccup with Cohort 2’s payment system; some people didn’t want to use PayPal, & the current platform’s shell is pricey. So it made sense to pause, restructure, & move it somewhere more accessible. I’m looking at a likely November re-release, after I’ve settled a few things on the home front.
In the meantime, I’ll be keeping my podcast going, including some Q&A-style episodes where I answer listener questions (you can send yours in via my website).
I’m also quietly working on a book. Before you ask, no, it’s not a whore memoir. God knows we don’t need another one of those clogging the shelves!
It’s a funny twist of fate that the same systems I critique in my work, the ones that police bodies, sexuality, neurodivergence & autonomy, are also the ones slowing down the Academy’s release. Navigating them is a full-time job in itself, especially when they involve institutional settings that directly impact my child’s wellbeing.
For now, my child is okay, my touring calendar is ticking along, & I’m keeping my pace deliberate. If you’re waiting for NK Academy Cohort 2, thank you for your patience. It’s coming, just not at the expense of my family’s stability or my sanity.
