escort diary® of Natasha Jane: A Day in My Life: It’s Not What You Think
When people imagine my life, they usually picture luxury hotels, glamorous outfits and champagne.
The truth is, most days start with salt in my hair and sand on my feet. No two mornings are ever the same, and that’s exactly how I like it.
Some days I’ll be up before sunrise for a long ride along the coast, watching the ocean turn from dark blue to gold as the world slowly wakes up. Other mornings I’ll head into the hinterland for a trail run, where the only sounds are birds, my footsteps and the occasional waterfall. If the ocean is calm, you’ll probably find me swimming out through the surf for an open water swim, reminding myself just how small I am in such a big world.
Movement is my ritual. It keeps me grounded, clears my mind and gives me the energy to be fully present for everything that comes later in the day.
On quieter mornings, I might swap endurance training for a Pilates class or roll out my yoga mat. I love the balance of pushing my body hard one day and slowing everything down the next. Learning when to rest has been just as important as learning when to work.
After training comes coffee, breakfast and the less glamorous side of running my own business.
Most people don’t realise how much happens behind the scenes. I spend time replying to enquiries, confirming bookings, organising travel, planning content, editing photos, updating my calendar and making sure everything runs smoothly. Being self-employed means I’m not just the face of my business, I’m also the receptionist, marketer, accountant and organiser.
As the afternoon approaches, I begin getting ready. Skincare, hair, makeup and choosing an outfit that suits the occasion. It’s not about chasing perfection; it’s about feeling like the best version of myself.
Then it’s time to head out.
Every booking is different because every person is different. Some people want to celebrate a milestone, others are travelling for work and simply don’t want to spend another evening alone. Some are nervous. Some are incredibly confident. Nearly all of them surprise me in one way or another.
The biggest part of my job isn’t what people expect.
It’s listening.
I’ve had conversations about business ideas, family, travel, sport, relationships, loss and everything in between. I’ve learned that everyone has a story, and sometimes what people value most is having someone who is genuinely present.
By the time I get home, I change back into comfortable clothes, wash off the makeup and switch gears again. If I didn’t fit in yoga earlier, I might spend twenty minutes stretching before bed, giving my body a chance to recover from the day. Sometimes I’ll prepare for tomorrow’s training, answer a few final messages or simply sit outside and listen to the ocean.
My life isn’t all glamour.
It’s early alarms, tired legs, ocean swims, long rides, muddy shoes, business meetings with myself, spontaneous adventures and meaningful conversations with people from every walk of life.
It’s busy. It’s unpredictable. It’s challenging.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
