Not because it was new. We all know this, somewhere. We know that life is miracle, that we are here to live it. And yet, we forget. Easily. Constantly.
We get busy with our lives as if we have five more waiting for us - five more chances to trial and error, to mess things up, to postpone what actually matters. We move brought our days distracted, chasing outcomes, polishing images, competing with one another, trying to portray a perfect life.
And saddenly, what's missing is the most precious thing we have: time.
By this; I don't mean go out every night, or living a some kind of libertine fantasy. Not at all. I mean something much simpler - and much harder.
I mean remembering that whatever is moving us today, whatever we are doing today, deserves our presence. If we work, work with intention. If we rest, rest fully. Do it with pleasure. Do it grateful to be alive.
And if something in our life is making us so sad that is drains that quiet happiness - then find a way to change it. Slowly, bravely, imperfectly. But consciously.
Because life is not later. Life is not when things are figurate out. Life is not after the next win.
Life is now.
