Why won’t I accept your friend request?
Social media is funny. People assume it’s open access - like if I exist online, I’m automatically available to anyone who clicks “follow.” But that’s not how I operate.
Most of the requests I get are from fake profiles. No name, no face, nothing to verify. Then there’s a small percentage of real accounts, and an even smaller group that are still anonymous but try to look somewhat legitimate. Either way, I still don’t know who you are.
So again… why would I accept you?
I’m not trying to be the most followed or the most visible in this industry. I don’t care about numbers. I care about control, privacy, and exclusivity.
That’s the entire point.
This account wasn’t created for random followers, lurkers, or people looking for free access. There’s already an entire internet full of that. I’m not interested in contributing to it.
I created this space for two groups only:
Industry peers, and clients I’ve actually met in person.
Not potential clients.
Not people “thinking about booking.”
Not silent fans.
If you’re not someone I’ve seen, or someone I know within the industry, you don’t get access. It’s that simple.
If you are a client and you want to follow me, there’s a process.
You message me directly - using the number you booked with - and tell me who you are. If you want to use an alias account, that’s fine, but I still need to know it’s you. You send me the handle, I verify, and then I decide.
If I receive a follow request from an account I don’t recognise, it will not be accepted. No exceptions.
And just to be clear - being accepted doesn’t mean I follow you back or engage with you. It simply means I know who you are, and I’ve allowed you into a space that is intentionally private.
I don’t owe access.
I don’t owe explanations.
And I definitely don’t owe strangers a front-row seat into my life.
This space is curated. And I intend to keep it that way.
