Today, the mood has shifted significantly as we received a cyclone warning for the Gold Coast. The storm is expected to hit tomorrow, and the rain has already started to pour down. This cyclone is said to be the most powerful the Gold Coast has ever faced, and it’s a sobering thought.
I’m relieved to be here with my family, especially with my Dad. I know he would feel so alone going through this by himself. We’ve been working together to batten down the hatches and prepare for whatever this storm may bring.
As the wind starts to pick up, we're keeping a close eye on the developing situation while trying to stay positive. We have a beautiful outlook of the storm unfolding, and while it’s intimidating, it’s also awe-inspiring. All I can do now is hope for safety for us and everyone else in the area.
