escort diary® of Anna Madison: Turning Up the Heat
There are dates that are lovely, and then there are dates that leave you thinking, why don’t we do this more often?
Not so long ago, I had one of the latter.
It started with a spa day in the city - an idea I absolutely adored from the moment it was suggested.
We met out the front of the spa and greeted each other with a big hug. There’s something rather lovely about meeting somewhere other than a hotel. It immediately feels like you’re embarking on a little adventure together, with hours stretching ahead of you and nowhere else you need to be.
Inside, we changed into fluffy bathrobes and began our afternoon of indulgence.
First up: a private sauna for two.
Now, putting two people who are already very attracted to each other into a tiny room and steadily turning up the temperature is perhaps not the most sensible idea... but it is a very good one.
The heat began to build. Skin became dewy, little beads of perspiration appeared, and the atmosphere seemed to become hotter in more ways than one. Sitting there together, barely dressed, watching the sheen develop on each other’s skin... well, let’s just say the sauna wasn't entirely responsible for the rising temperature.
By the time our session ended, the sexual tension was almost unbearable. But there was to be no immediate relief. Instead, it was time for a shower and then our couples massage.
We had our own massage therapists but were together in the same room, side by side, as tired muscles were kneaded, squeezed and rubbed into submission.
And then came my favourite moment of the entire spa experience.
At one point, I opened my eyes and looked across at him.
He happened to open his at exactly the same moment.
We gazed at each other for a few seconds and smiled.
Then, almost instinctively, we both reached out across the space between the massage tables and held hands.
Only for a moment.
It was such a tiny gesture, but somehow incredibly intimate. I think that's the moment I'll remember most.
Eventually, massages finished and robes reluctantly surrendered, we got dressed again and ventured out in search of a very late lunch.
He took me to one of his favourite restaurants, where we settled in over beautiful food and talked about travel - places we'd been, places still on the list, and all those wonderful stories that seem to emerge when you have nowhere to rush off to.
And all the while, that delicious tension from earlier hadn't exactly disappeared.
Quite the opposite.
So after lunch, there was really only one logical destination... Back to the hotel.
And after spending the afternoon being extraordinarily well behaved through saunas, showers, massages and lunch... we were both rather ready to stop behaving.
Some things are better left to the imagination.
What I loved most about this date, though, was that it wasn't simply dinner followed by time together. We did something together. We relaxed. We laughed. We talked. We experienced something slightly indulgent and wonderfully intimate, and the anticipation was allowed to build naturally over several hours.
By the time we were finally alone, we'd spent an entire afternoon becoming more and more connected.
It was easily one of my favourite dates.
I absolutely adore creative dates.
Take me somewhere. Show me something you love. Book us a massage. Find a beautiful restaurant. Plan an experience you've always wanted to try. Let’s disappear somewhere for an afternoon and make a memory together.
And if your brilliant date idea happens to involve putting me in a bathrobe and locking me in a very hot room with you?.... You certainly won't hear me complaining.
