What does a client look like?
I often get asked by people outside of the SW industry, "so do you just sleep with old, fat, gross, men?" They're always surprised when I tell them, no - it's just everyday people.
A common misconception about SW is that you are forced to sleep with the "scum" of society in less than favourable conditions. There will of course be situations similar to this that some people have experienced, but most SWs I know have had a very similar experience to me, and have clients that are mostly just average, everyday men. I can't speak for everyone in the industry on this topic, because there are horror stories, but I will share with you all my experience on the kinds of clients I've experienced so far.
