I thought I had cursed Brisbane.
The last time I was here, a cyclone rolled in. This time? Three days of heavy rain. But thankfully, the sunshine showed up just in time—on my last day, no less—and warmed straight into my soul. That’s the beauty of this state: when it finally gives you the sun, you feel it everywhere.
