escort diary® of Eva Grace: Offline
Life has been a little busier than usual lately.
Since starting my online business, I’ve found myself spending far more time on my phone than I ever have before. It’s funny because I’ve never really been someone who is constantly attached to hers. I could happily leave my phone in another room for half the day and not think twice about it.
Now, there always seems to be something happening.
Messages, little ideas, things I want to photograph, things I want to write, people to reply to. It’s exciting, but I think I’m also learning that I don’t want my whole day to disappear into a screen.
If anything, it’s made me appreciate ordinary things so much more.
Lately I’ve been enjoying slow mornings at home, making myself something nice to drink, taking my time getting ready, going for walks and just being outside without feeling like I need to document everything. Even sitting down at the end of the day with nothing particularly exciting happening can feel lovely.
It’s also made me think about how strange the online world can be. We see such small pieces of people’s lives and somehow feel as though we know everything about them. I’m probably guilty of doing the same thing sometimes. It’s easy to forget that there is always so much more happening behind the little square on your screen.
I’ve been trying to remind myself of that lately.
There’s a whole life happening away from the phone too, and I think I’m enjoying that part more than ever.
Maybe that’s the biggest change for me — not necessarily being online more, but becoming much more conscious of when I want to put the phone down and actually enjoy my life.
Nothing particularly exciting to report this entry. Just feeling grateful for the little things, enjoying being at home, and slowly figuring out what balance looks like for me.
